The Manchurian Crisis

Today, our history teacher, gave us the assignment of watching a video of the Manchurian Crisis and answer some questions.

Here are the questions:

  1. How does the video open? What might the connection between the League and the opening scenes in Poland be?
  2. What problems did Japan face? (Mention ALL of them)
  3. What was the role of the army in Japan?
  4. What did army leaders believe Japan needed?
  5. What was the value of Manchuria?
  6. What happened at Mudken?
  7. What did the League do about it?
  8. What was Japan’s reaction to the decision of the League?

My answers:

  1. The video opens with scenes of a village, houses one boat, while talking about that the League failed on maintaining peace and stability. It clarifies that the 1930 was sure which show their control and it all started with the defense called Manchuria Crisis. The connection between the League and the opening scenes in Poland might be that the League assemblies were on Poland, or because Poland was involved in the Manchuria Crisis.
  2. The problems that Japan face were: unemployment, isolated country, need more resources (rocky land), overpopulation, couldn’t trade.
  3. The army in Japan had more power than politicians and they had control over the education. So, their role was to control these. Besides, they administrated martial arts techniques from a very young age.
  4. Army leaders believed Japan needed to gain territories so it could help the empire.
  5. The value of Manchuria was high since it had a lot of natural resorces that Japan needed for their products, so this would help the economy be more stable.
  6. In Mudken, the Japan army exploded a mountain and that led to horrible accident.
  7. The League The League told the Japanesse ambassador to stop invading China.
  8. Japan’s reaction to the decision of the League was null. They didn’t care and kept Manchuria anyway.

My poem bases in Orange Juice

In our writing and speaking class, we read a poem called «Orange Juice» where someones steals the voice’s juice. Then, we had to do a poem from te thief’s perspective.  I did it with Lola Villegas and here is our poem:

Sometime ago,
I got unemployed.
I used to be wealthy,
But now everything is gone.
So,
one Monday morning,
I was walking down the street
when I saw a carton of orange juice
right in front of me.
I could not resist.
I didn’t have money,
my family was starving
and the opportunity was right beside me.
I took the juice to my family
and we drank it happily.
So on Wednesday morning
I did the same thing.
I did not care about the person who bought it,
I was very thankful
And he didn’t even noticed
when I stole it on Friday.
So,
when I poured the juice in glasses
and emptied it to the bottom,
I started screaming
because my mouth was on fire.
auch! auch!
we couldn’t feel our mouth.
I couldn’t believe
that the previous owner
had played such a cruel prank on us.
Such a lot of money the had
and they couldn’t even give up
some simple orange juice
for us to drunk up.
After that day,
I never stole juice
from that house again.
Guess the man
was now happy,
to have his juice again
and we were left with no food
for us to feed ourselves.

Whose my favorite booktuber?

Our writing and speaking skills teacher gave us the assignment of watching booktubes and comment of them.

My comments of the booktubes:

  1. The first booktube I chose was the one with John Green and Ansel Elgort. I chose it because John Green is my favorite author, and Ansel Elgort was the actor of a movie based on one of John Green’s books. I really liked that book since it tackles with living your life fully. Something that I wanted to point out of this booktube, is that they speak very fluent and loud. They were not shy infront of the camara, and that is something that I will have to improve.
  2. The second booktube I will talked about is of a girl that reviews the books that she didnt like. That is an interesting idea to talk about. I think that is very creative and nice, because when we see that video, we learn which books are boring and which are not.
  3. The third booktube I am going to talk about is the one that involves music. This teenager, made her booktube about fictional characters. She talk about how she likes boys in books rater than boys in real life. That is pretty interesting because it leaves you thinking how an author creates the perfect guy which, in the point of view of this girl, does not exist.

My best holiday photo

Our writing and speaking skills teacher, Daniela Barra, told us to make a writing about our best holiday photo.

Here is mine:

On January the 28th, I was in Pinamar, Buenos Aires. I went with my beat friend called Pilar Chamizo. In that sunny day, we went to the center of the city. We went there because we wanted a waffle, and there is a place to buy some. This picture was taken on my way to the center, I took it while walking.

Before taking it, we got out of the car, with my brother and my best friend, and started walking and after this, we were eating yummy waffles!

I chose it because it brings me very funny and nostalgic memories. It was one of the best days of my life!
